![]() Or "Hard Riding Margot," another title of awesomeness we ran into at a Crown Books (remember those?) lo those many years ago. Weeks later, my boyfriend was lying on the ground watching TV, turned his head and asked, amused, "Why do you have "Brazen Temptress" under the bed?" He was very skeptical of my explanation, and now that it's 15 or so years later, and we are married, and I fix the sink myself, still refers to all romance novels as "Brazen Temptress" if given the least opportunity. As I turned each page, I could hardly wait to discover what was going to happen next. ![]() When she’s not traveling, Boyle’s favorite place is home with her ever supportive and inspirational husband, Terry. She now writes Regency-set romances full-time. That first book, Brazen Angel, won the Dell Diamond Debut Award. The story moved as such a quick pace that I could scarcely draw breath. She wrote at night and one weekends completing 4 manuscripts before being published in 1996. I mean, good impressions might get my sink fixed faster? Brazen Angel by Elizabeth Boyle hosts an entire cast of believable characters, from the leads right down to the walk-ons. ![]() Seeing my pile of bedside reading topped with a book called Brazen Temptress, and knowing the maintenance guy to be rather shy, I tucked the book under the bed so I looked like the kind of person who reads serious literature first instead of reading all the trash first before moving on to healthy good stuff. So I called for maintenance and they showed up one morning just before I left for work. I'd been reading this on someone's recommendation - someone who preferred her romances spicier than I - and there was something wrong with the kitchen sink in my apartment. !!! I have no memory of this book except there were pirates? And oral sex? But !!! I have a great story about it regardless. ![]()
